Gujarati Dhokla Recipe



Gujarati Dhokla is one dish I bank upon when I have unexpected guests or when kids have hunger pangs. This is easy to make with readily available ingredients & tastes delicious.

Ingredients For Batter of Gujarati Dhokla:Quantity
Gram Flour (Besan/Chickpea Flour)1 cup 
Semolina (Rava/Sooji)1 tablespoon 
Lemon juice1½ teaspoons
Antacid Powder ( I have used Eno Fruit Salt)1 teaspoon 
Crushed Green Chilli & Ginger1 teaspoon 
Water3/4 cup 
Yogurt (Dahi)1/4 cup
Oil (for greasing)1 teaspoon
SaltTo Taste
Ingredients For Tempering  of Gujarati Dhokla:Quantity
Oil2 tablespoons 
Curry Leaves1-2
Mustard Seeds1/2 teaspoon 
Cumin Seeds (optional)1/2 teaspoon
Sesame Seeds (til)1 teaspoon
Sugar1 tablespoon
